In consequence, you now have dark tan patches scattered all over your body.

It wouldn’t have mattered if the skin had developed an even tan. You could have flaunted a new bronzed look. But the blotchy appearance makes it look ugly. So, what’s an easy, safe and quick way to get rid of a skin tan?

We have some recipes that come straight out of your kitchen. They will help lighten a skin tan sans the exorbitant costs and side effects. Come check them out.

1. Lemon Juice

Lemon Juice is a natural bleaching agent. Thus, it proves to be very effective in lightening a skin tan. Take freshly extracted lemon juice on a cotton swab and apply it over the darkened areas. Alternately, you can use the slice directly on the skin. You can also use lemon juice to get rid of dark elbows and knees. Leave the juice on the skin for around 15 minutes and rinse with soap and water. Never put lemon juice and go out in the sun as the skin tans faster and stronger.
