2. Pumps with a Modern Twist

In addition to the classic pump, there are several dressy styles of pumps you can pair with different types of attire. There are peep-toe pumps, rounded toes, square, almond and pointed toes. The heel is a characteristic feature of the pump and it is the heel (medium or high) that gives this shoe style its chic and classy appearance. However to increase comfort, a factor most working women prioritize when picking footwear, selected pumps are made without heels. Another variant are pumps with towering heels. The heels are approximately 4- 8 inches high.

Leather was the traditional material used to make pumps. In the past few decades, fabrics such as Satin are being used as they can be dyed to match you the color of your dress. Pumps are also made with straps and buckles today. Regarded as a formal shoe, pumps can be teamed with dresses, pants, skirts and suits. Pumps with a thinner heel can also be worn with jeans to spice up your casual wear.
