2. Pleated Skirt
The pleated skirt has three major variants- the accordion pleat skirt (thin pleats that look like a folded paper fan), the knife pleat skirts (pleats wider than the accordion pleats placed in one direction) and the Box pleated skirt. Women with a thin or medium sized frame should wear pleated skirts as it adds volume to the body.
3. Pencil or Straight Skirts
The pencil or straight skirt features a narrow, straight cut from the waist to the hemline. The tight slim fitting skirt flatters a lean, slinky frame. These slit have a skirt either at the back or the sides to allow movement. It looks best with short tops or tops tucked inside.
4. Ruffled Skirt
A ruffled or layered skirt made with fabric panels layered one over the other are recommend for women with a rectangular, banana or hourglass frame.
