3. Something borrowed

This one follows a rule. It has to be borrowed from a happily married woman. Why? Because, it’s a way of letting the bride borrow some of the success and happiness she has enjoyed in her marriage. You can borrow from a friend, your mother, sister, grandmother or great-grandmother. The items could include a wedding dress or a piece of jewelry. However, keeping up with the traditions, the item must be returned after the wedding.

4. Something blue

The color blue is a symbol of purity. Worn on the wedding day, it signifies a bride’s loyalty and fidelity towards her spouse. If you do not like a hint of color to your wedding gown, you can choose light blue lingerie. Fix a small piece of light blue ribbon on the inside of the wedding dress or hide it in your bouquet. A garter with a light blue lace embellishment is another great option for something blue.

5. The sixpence in the shoe

Finally, the last in the list is the six pence in the shoe. This custom is generally followed by the British. The six pence is placed in a brides shoe as a wish of prosperity, wealth and financial prosperity in her future life.

So, have you collected all the items in the list?
