2. Skip the Moisturizer

Many prefer to apply a moisturizer under their makeup to avoid a dry, flaky appearance. If you do the same, you can apply the moisturizer to the rest of your face, but skip the eyelids. It surely is not a very good combination if you want the eyeliner to stay put. If you accidentally apply moisturizer, remove it and then proceed to applying makeup.

 

3. Set the base with a primer

Next in line is the primer and we would say it is an indispensable item in your makeup kit. The primer soaks in the oil and moisture from the skin. Not only this, it provides a smooth base for the makeup and ensures long lasting wear. Sweep the eye primer over the entire eyelid. You can apply some underneath the lower lash line as well. Allow it to dry to before any other makeup is applied. If you don’t have wear oily skin foundation dusted with loose powder should be sufficient. Primers are readily available at cosmetic stores and drugstores.
