3. What you could expect them to do?
Helping around the house does not mean you keep them tied up at home. Your teen should not be playing the role of another parent, but only a help and guide when you’re not around. You could ask him or her to watch over the toddlers while you’re shopping for groceries, at the bank or if you’ve planned a movie with hubby. You could also request them to help with homework. Don’t make it a regular chore; keep it occasional. Never restrict them from the normal teenaged stuff because you need them at home. Let them enjoy their sports, hangout with friends, sleepover at a friend’s place or watch a movie with their pals.
