10. Table Manners

This should start once your child starts eating at the table. Show them how to use the eating utensils correctly. Ask them to place a napkin on their lap and use it to wipe their mouth when necessary. Correct minor transgressions such as instead of reaching across the table for something ask for it to be passed. Other instructions in this field are not to chew with your mouth open, not to speak with your mouth full and not place the elbows on the table.

  1. Asking for permission to do something
  2. Not stealing
  3. Knock before entering another’s room or house
  4. Covering one’s mouth when you cough or sneeze
  5. Not picking one’s nose in public
