Looks like the year 2013 will see the arrival of many celeb babies. Some have already welcomed their bundles of joy while some are waiting patiently for what will be the most important and memorable moment in their lives. The latest addition to the list of Hollywood actresses in the family way is Halle Berry. According to reports by TMZ, Halle Berry is expecting her second child. This is however her first child with fiancée Olivier Martinez.
Around last year, Halle Berry mentioned that her daughter was eager for a younger sibling. Each day she prays to God- “God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.” “I say, I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we’ve got to keep praying on,” says the actress. It finally looks like the little girl’s wish has come true.
On Friday, 5th April Halle Berry’s Spokesperson confirmed that the actress is pregnant with her second child. “I can confirm that Halle and Olivier are expecting a child.” Halle’s representative told People magazine. A source also added that the actress is feeling great and everyone is happy and excited about the news.
The spokesperson also confirmed the gender of the unborn baby. This time it will be a boy for the actress. The Oscar winning actress already has a 5 year old daughter Nahla Aubry with ex-husband and model Gabriel Aubry (37).
This is Olivier Martinez (47) and Berry’s (46) first child together. The couple has been seeing each other since 2010.The X-men actress started dating the French hunk while the two were filming for their movie Dark Tide. They were spotted on several occasions before they could go public with their relationship. The duo got engaged in January 2012. H had proposed to her with a diamond and emerald ring over the holidays. Halle had considered moving to France with fiancé Olivier and daughter Nahla. However, the judge denied permission to do so as the move would take Nahla away from her dad and Canadian model Gabriel. Olivier and Berry already share partial custody of Nahla.
Speaking about her decision to become a mother after 40 she said she had learnt a lot since the birth of her daughter in 2008. “I’m a much better mother at 46 or 41 when I had her, than if I were 21 or 25. I was just a little baby, just trying to figure it out, trying to figure out who I was, let alone have the responsibility of trying to help another little soul develop and grow,” she said. She admits she made the right decision by waiting.
Only last week her family returned after enjoying a sunny vacation in Hawaii. The Cloud Atlas star was photographed wearing loose clothing and cover-ups on her recent getaway. The news of the pregnancy was first reported by TMZ and was confirmed by People Magazine on April 5th. The actress is in her third month of pregnancy. Thus, the actresses’ little boy is likely to arrive in the next six months. So, the baby makes four.
